Well, at this stage they are three smudges because they're at the limit of resolution of the JWST, and the images are also consistent with extended bodies as well as point sources.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I should have placed a question mark within brackets at the end of the title.
Probably they will spend 10 to 40 times more observation time on this object, to clear this by spectroscopy.
Furthermore, we can hope for the ELT at the end of this century, which will have about the same sensitivity as JWST but with 8 times better resolution for localization. - If they hopefully reach specifications! -
