Yes, I create the config

Yes, I create the config archive in that direction, and again without results...

I reboot my computer with de config good configuration and nothing

If the folder is correct then you may have made a mistake in the content of the file or maybe the file name is not correct...
file name should be cc_config.xml (be sure that your windows shows file extensions to be sure that the editor has not added the .txt without your knowledge...

Edit: what editor you have used to create this file?

I agree with Horacio, your

I agree with Horacio, your file name is wrong or the directory is wrong, the history shows that.

See your first line:

23/11/2012 22:53:04 | | No config file found - using defaults

This is your data directory: C:\ProgramData\BOINC - the one you need your file must be.

Look mine:

23/11/2012 21:34:10 Starting BOINC client version 6.10.60 for windows_x86_64
23/11/2012 21:34:10 Config: use all coprocessors
23/11/2012 21:34:10 log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task
23/11/2012 21:34:10 Libraries: libcurl/7.19.7 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3
23/11/2012 21:34:10 Data directory: D:\Boinc
23/11/2012 21:34:10 Running under account Juan

You could PM your e.mail and i will send you the file with the right extension if you whant.

Look when i am creating the

Look when i am creating the archive:

http://www.subirimagenes.com/privadas-ccconfig-1973647.html

I haven´t the option without extension...or *.text or all archives...

Can you create or let me your config archive and I paste the config in my route...But is very peculiar because i am using the notepad of windows, and it would have to let me do it

So why not rename the file

So why not rename the file then? From cc_config.xml.txt to cc_config.xml?

Oh and normally, when you use something like Notepad, you can save as an All Files (*.*) option. That will allow you to specify what extension the file should have. But else, really, just right-click on the file and choose Rename. Then change the extension from .xml.txt to just .xml

Don´t worry i allready send

Don´t worry i allready send him an e-mail with the right extension and ask him to post if that works ok.

THAAAAANNNKS TO ALL!!!!!!AND

THAAAAANNNKS TO ALL!!!!!!AND JUAN THANK YOU VERY MUCH, your archive is totally ok with my configuration...ALL OK AGAIN...my two GPUs are working now, about to the 70% of capacity...

Thank you again and merry weekend to all...We have to crunch a lot of data...

Can I PROPOSE a challenge... :))?

propose, finish the S6LV1 series of data, before new year...

We can do it...

Days to New Year's Eve: 37,5 days, because now it is noon...

Days to finish S6LV1 series: : 38.9 days (estimated).

If we don´t turn off the computer during 3 days, I hope that we can do it.

What´s your opinion?

Que bueno que funciono! (Glad

Que bueno que funciono! (Glad it works!).

Dont forget to leave some cores avaiable to feed the GPU´s now, you have one more mouth to feed...

If you whant to crunch a little more you could try to run 2 WU at a time on each GPU.

But be aware, only if you have the resources, memory, processors, you actualy have but you need also a well ventilated enviroment. I´m just not sure about the performance becuse you use a 550TI (i don´t have any)

But normaly on a Fermi class GPU is a good ideia.

If you don´t know how to do, there are few thread about that in this forum, or post we will try to help.

About the challenge, my all hosts GPUs all aready crunching only E@H (The other project i run, SETI is down) so all the firepower of my fleet is allready deployed to the E@H cause.

As you could notice some other mates from SETI-GPUUG are allready doing the same, so for now, we add a combined firepower of more than 1.5MM credits/day to the E@H cause, that sure will make the things little easy.

Yes Juan I thought it, but I

Yes Juan I thought it, but I haven´t good cooler...although, all Graphic Cards have two coolers, but now with one BRP4 per GPU, are now about to 82% of the total capacity and are around 69º and 64º celsius...

And CPU cores are around 78º-81º...Are too hot, I have to put water refrigeration or better cooler, because a technician of intel tell me, that the cooler of the CPU box, is for literally "to avoid burning the processor"...

This model are my graphics:

WIll try to share some of my

WIll try to share some of my experience. Anyone else please help if i make any mistake.

When you crunch, the heat is allways "the problem", bigger your cruncher, hotter it will be.

Unless you switch to water or some other better coller (I try beer but i drink all the coolant before put to work) fan is the first option to cool the host.

Your GPUs are allready equiped with a very good fans to do the air cooling job, so the problem now is the fan speed. High speed means more air to flow means cooler GPU. But all this have a price, fans produces noise.

The manufacturer of your (an any GPU) uses a equation fan speed x temperature well adapted for games, normal use, etc. When you crunch, you need another curve.

The easy way to do that is by download a program to control the fan, I use EVGA Precison (free DL avaible at www.egva.com) but you could use any similar, like MSI Afterburner. Probabily GIGABYTE have one similar, but don´t worry must of then works in all types/kinds of boards (at least EVGA and MSI works in all the GPUs i have no mather what is the manufacter)

In the EVGa program, you have a fan curve feature, just adjuts to set the fan to 80/90% at your target temp (on kepplers like your GPUs try to mantain bellow 70C) the roule, cooler is better applys.

Put the program to start when windows starts and you will see the diference, the fans will work faster and a lot of noise will be produced, but your GPUs will be cooler.

Remember, your GPU have rear exaust, so keep clear the back of your computer and don´t put anything behind, all the hot air will go in that direction.

Now go to crunch, you could even check the temp of the GPU directly on the EVGA program. Take your time and study it.

In a 660TI you could run easely 2 WU at a time on each WU, that will rise your GPU usage to >80%. On E@H due the CPU/GPU usage mix is dificult to optain something close to 99% as SETI or Collantz easely reach.

But allways remember the 20/80% CPU/GPU mix in E@H, to be safe, keep at least one core of your CPU free to feed each GPU or nothing else will help. In your case leave at least 2 cores avaiable to do that.

Allow only 50% usage is a good ideia on a I7, that will allow you to do most of the work/surfing/etc. without even need to stop crunching! (not gaming, gaming allways need all the avaible CPU/GPU power avaiable, so you go to gaming, stop Boinc first)

With this settings your I7 will run cooler (actualy i use a "normal" Intel cooler with all my hosts), and your total production will be better than run 100%CPU and 1 WU per GPU, you could make the test.

If you have more heat generating GPUs like 560TI/570/580/590/690 you need aditional fans on your case to help with the heat exaust job but that is not your case.

And remember enviroment temperatures above 40C are not safe for humans or GPUs so it that cases make like me, stop crunching for some time and go to drink few beers, or you will literaly "fry in hell".

Hope i don´t forget nothig.
