So why not get 7.0.38

Simply I didn´t find it on the official download site and didn´t know where to find it elsewhere. So, why not a link at the lower end of this site. I remember, it was so or similar in earlier times.

Kind regards and happy crunching.

Yep. Always initialise. But then you wouldn't have known that the NVidia call was naughty. Sigh.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Hi again guys :)) i am

Hi again guys :))

i am trying to create cc_config.xml, because I didn´t have it, and I am creating, this file in this route:

cc_config.xml without text format

And:

1

But I update the config file in boinc manager and the event log can´t find it...

22/11/2012 23:26:40 | | Re-reading cc_config.xml
22/11/2012 23:26:40 | | No config file found - using defaults
22/11/2012 23:26:40 | | log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task

And the route is apparently correct...

I will try to update the boinc version...but i haven´t hope...my second gpu is on vacation, and i am nervous for it

Thanks to all for help, and thanks in advance for the future :))

GPU detection is only done on Boinc startup, So restart Boinc.

Greetings from Spain

You have few hosts and you don´t post what has the 2 GPUs so:

In the 6.xx version...

- You need to be sure the name of the file is exactly cc_config.xml without any hidden extension (normaly .txt, .doc etc.)

- It must be in your BOINC DATA Directoy, not in the program directory. The one how have the projects, slots, subdirectories for help you to find.

In the 7.xx version

- upgrade to the new 7.0.38 as expalined by Claggy on this thread (look few posts before this)

And dont forget to restart the boinc inself, compleately shutdown the boinc task not just the boincmgr...

If you need more info in spanish PM, i speak spanish.

Could you restart the entire computer?

If that does not work, post the first 20 lines showed in the history to see what is happening.

In which folder did you

In which folder did you created the cc_config.xml file?
For this host it should be in C:\ProgramData\BOINC
The folder ProgramData is ussually hidden and is not shown unles you set windows to show hidden and system files.
