If this is in the wrong place, accept my apologies in advance. I've been crunching Einstein@Home with 5 machinges for almost 3 years and am far more interested in the scientific side of the project than the computer/software aspects, although I have to admit the BOINC software sometimes leaves me rather amazed at times. If it's not working just right, let it run for a few days and problem solved.
However, I've run into a situation I don't really understand. For some reason on one of my older machings (1.4 Athlon, Win98 2nd) I am being sent S5R3 work where on my other machines I've been d/l the new S5R4 jobs. I have no problem working on the R3s if it neends to be done, but it was my understanding from what I had read that the R3 data was 100% completed. I wish now I had reset the program before I began downloading, but as of now I have just about finished.
Should I crunch these jobs? If not, how can I be certain of getting the new R4 files?
I've tried using the newest BOINC software as well as an older version I've been using for about a year with the same result.

Hi!
There will be a constant, small stream of S5R3 results that have to be crunched because other hosts did not meet the deadline ("resends"). I'd say just let it crunch :-)

Thanks for info Bikeman. As large as some of the downloads got that only amounted to 1 or 2 jobs as they neared the end of S5R3, I probably don't have many. So I'll have one machine working the leftovers for a while. :-)

There was a human mistake about drive mounting that cause some of the validate errors, so all those had to be resent.
