Love the twitter channel

Love the twitter channel :

Epic logic. There's a really great book by Harry Collins Are We All Scientific Experts Now ? Mr Collins has also closely followed the LIGO collaboration for some time. He is effectively their historian.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Harry Collins has other great books on the sociology of science eg. Rethinking Expertise, published in 2008, which begins with an awesome statement :

.... which is pretty much the theme of the book. Quick question : is it an instance of confirmation bias to seek out books describing confirmation bias ?! :-))))

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

A Mr Peter KimberThe

A Mr Peter Kimber

A curious/remarkable compound statement at several levels :

- what SpaceX needs to do to corner a market ( launch rockets in bad weather )

- assumes the aim is to corner the market

- advises upon the topic of launching a rocket in the rain

- in context, a bizarre unqualified qualifier 'to a degree' ( meaningless )

- the requirement of SpaceX to realise the above

LOL.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) A good example of what internet content is primarily about : revealing the inside of other people's heads. That is, the trust assumption behind the image on your computer monitor.

( edit ) The lack of meaning of 'to a degree' here is :

- take off, to a degree ?

- regardless, to a degree ?

- bad weather, to a degree ?

I believe the tug for west

I believe the tug for west coast ASDS "motivation" is the Rainbow Warrior.  I did not get around to trying to look it up at MarineTraffic until just now.  As I'm too cheap to pay for non coastal waters tracking by satellite, All I can see is that it left port a day and a half ago or such, and headed off in the right direction.  Launch would be just over a day and half from now if they hit this opportunity.

Both video streams are active

Both video streams are active now.  A head is talking on the hosted webcast, and there is a nice image of the rocket on the pad on the technical.

Bingo. By far the best

Bingo.

By far the best landing video yet.

Looks like it might be the smallest aiming error as well.
