So as most of you know, I'm an ESL teacher in S. Korea. One of the things I do is start each class with a pop song. I'm rapidly running out of ideas as I much prefer country or classical to pop. Lyrics must be clean, i.e. no sex, drug or foul language.
Things I've used in the past can be found here, on the lyrics sheet page of my blog.

I learned English by listening to the local radio station when I started High School: the most I enjoyed was the country music contests and some shows and news programs.

There was a US Army Radio station in Trieste in the immediate postwar and I listened to country music. Then I studied one year in the USA and learned to love Mozart, Beethoven and Bach.

Hi!
Not sure the age group is right, but Sesame Street and "Muppet Show" have some nice adaptations of pop songs with clean and child-friendly lyrics, my favorite is http://www.funnysong.com/2008/07/sesame-street-counting-to-four-lyrics.asp this one by Leslie Feist.

Thanks. I'll have to boot over to Windows and check out that list in iTunes.
I'm game for almost anything. Oldies tend to work better with the younger kids. I have a group of first graders going nuts over "Livin' on a Prayer". Since I'm so out of the loop on current pop stuff, any suggestions for that would be great.
I've tried some of the more pop-ish country, but it hasn't gone over well. The only exception to that is "Can't Fight the Moonlight".
