Topic 192521

Everything has been going fine for me until March 8th. at that point my Pending Results started to back up, and are now at the point there are over 4 days worth of work (for me) pending. Previously I had only been running at about 1.25 days. RAC has taken about about a 20% drop. All the Servers show Running, so i don't know what the problem could be. Any ideas?

Is Something Wrong?

No... if you check your results, you'll see you are the only one so far that has returned the results of that work unit. The other person hasn't returned anything yet, because his computer has a problem, where it re-produced itself 3894 times.

Can an administrator please check this computer and email its owner to straighten things out?

Well the good news is the

Well the good news is the account is question appears to have been shutdown for now to prevent more host ID spawning and aggravating the problem more.

The bad news is most likely you'll have to wait until the results expire and get reissued.

The problem is even though the project could make a manual intervention to abort and/or force an extra result to be reissued for the 160 or so results which were effected in your case, the law of unintended consequences would most likely make such an intervention undesirable from the projects POV. IOW, the risk of breaking something else while trying to and fix this is too high when BOINC would take of it on its own in time with zero risk.

In any event, you're not going to lose any credit for the work you did, and eventually all the pendings will get granted which will restore your RAC back to what it was. One observation is it looks like you suspended work on EAH, and that is definitely the only RAC killer you have any control over.
