hello, i have performed some performance benchmark with GTX 560 2048 mb and want to share this results with community.
WUs time time/WU CPU load
7 and above: not enough ram
6: ~134m 22.3m fluid 40-50% and GUI lags
5: ~114m 22.8m 35% and minor GUI lags
4: ~100m 25m 29-30%
3: ~82m 27.3m 21-22%
2: ~54m 27m 17-18%
1: ~41m 41m 7-10%

interested points:
5 compared to 6 and 2 compared to 3 gives no performance gain.

Phenom II x6 @ 3500MHz
GTX 560 @reference clocks
ubuntu 10.10 x64
1.08 cuda 270 app

Hi!

very interesting indeed.

You don't have GPU load readings as well for this experiment perhaps? That would be interesting as well, perhaps also the GPU temperature .

Thanks
HB

Hi,

I thought the xx% behind the runtimes are the GPU load. Or is it the RAM usage?

GPU load memory load 1:

GPU load memory load
1: 56-58% 22-23%
2: 69-70% 27-28%
3: 85-87% 33-34%
4: 89-93% 34-36%
5: 93-98% same
6: up to 99% 37-40%

temperature does not show something usefull, it just between 60-65C under any load

no, it is CPU load, not GPU.
