I receive the above message for everything I have signed up here to process work units for. Originally, I thought it was because I used the 7.15.0 client and it was too new so I compiled 7.14.2 as the latest stable to which I receive the same result. According to https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/List_of_projects_by_system_requirements SPARC/Solaris is supported. Any ideas what we're doing wrong?

BOINC and Einstein@Home works

BOINC and Einstein@Home works by having you, the user, download a binary application, see apps, to your computer to run. This means we pre-compile binaries for certain Operating Systems. Solaris is not an OS we support; we only compile the applications for windows, MacOs, and Linux.
Maybe there is a way to run this with virtualbox, with a Linux guest?

I understood from old posts that there has been some work for Solaris... over a decade ago. But apparently there were some bugs on the app. Then understandably the most urgent focus in development was put to Linux, WIndows and MAC apps. I don't know if a newer app version for Solaris ever saw daylight.

Gotcha. Even though boinc is able to be compiled, the apps themselves haven't been ported per https://einsteinathome.org/apps.php. Good to know!
Anyone know whom I should contact in regards to the app code then? That post is from 2007 and I'm not going to be the one to resurrect a necro thread that old.

Bernd is the main E@H developer. If you send him a direct message, he may be able to help you compile the applications from source. Keep in mind he doesn't have the time to support applications that are not for the core OSes (Win, MacOS, Linux). Good luck!
