I saw some minutes ago, that you have added some new features to the page. But I'm a bit worried about that
Results VALID 13,387
Results INVALID 10,362 ? Abit high or!

I do believe they have been discussing this issue. Part of the problem is the bug in the 3rd stage of their computations. They have also stated that the analysis completed during a WU run is dependant upon what was found earlier in the WU. They further stated that they were unable to predict what kind of errors they would find becuase of this uncertainty. However, as WU roll in that are invalid they look at the type of errors found and tweat their code.

The vast majority of the

The vast majority of the 'results invalid' total are due to workunits that error out because of download or upload problems. Almost 100% of these are due to users who still have outdated BOINC 4.13 core clients, and have not yet upgraded to core client version 4.19. THe 4.13 client has a serious bug: if a download fails it is not retried, and any workunits that depend upon the missing file then try to run and fail.

Users: please upgrade your core client, using the 'Download BOINC' link on the Einstein@Home front page.

Bruce

You could set the minimum for connect to 4.19. Then all users would get a message that they could not connect until they upgraded.

Hello! What about the

Hello!
What about the daredevils like me, running boinc 4.5x or 4.6x, will this make this errors too or are we "safe" ?

The last 2-3 days I have got some computing errors after running einsteinathome error free for 10 days. Has the wu's gone through some serious changes!
Thanks for any comments and keep up the good and exiting work on this nice project!!

With regards

Hopefully the majority will upgrade, and then maybe all old and failed wu's will be sent out again to be crunched again and maybe this will clear a lot of pending credits??
This may be the way for the other projects as well!!
