HI every and all good persons on this forum!
About a week ago my Dell notebook computer sat idly by and off as I had a friend help me with a doctors procedure requiring a driver. So, when I was able I started the computer and it aut0matically stepped through a couple of days worth of updates. Then I tried to load BOINC with no joy, it wouldn't work. So, I decided to uninstall and try again.
After several unsuccessful days worth of effort I decided to see what else I could do. I was sent to a website that had the necessary NVIDIA driver install and I went ahead and followed the command line instructions to install a bunch of pieces, When I finished I again tried to install BOINC. Yea I thought, but wait...what? Yes, BOINC was installed, yes I entered my name and password to start Einstein@home.
After the necessary downloads I started BOINC. Here is the rub...the screensaver does not function correctly.
When the globe appears none of the controls work. When I click on the globe nothing happens, It does not get bigger nor does it rotate at a steady pace. It will turn jump and turn the globe after about 10 seconds and sits there for another 10 seconds and turn-jump again and repeats.
Here are the specifics
