Hi... I think i have a problem with my screensaver. It always shows the BOINC status. Is it normal? I think it must shows the stars of the sky etc.
Also i would like to ask if we take something from this participation. I mean will we take something which confirms that we participate on it or anything else?? And will we be informed if they found any spinning neutron pulsars?

Hi, KsIsTrAs. There's a link on the main page (Screensaver description), under the heading 'More Information', and that should help you to see if the screensaver's working properly on your machine. Sounds like it is. You'll also notice that there's a “Wish List” forum on the message boards for suggesting improvements.
As with most things in life, I think you'll take from it something proportional to what you have put into it. Speaking for myself, I've already taken more knowledge than I know what to do with – and when I encourage others to consider donating their spare CPU cycles, spouting science until their eyes bug out, none of them have asked me to provide confirmation that I actually participate.

If you still think your screensaver is not working properly, check out the Einstein@Home Beta Test, also under More Information on the E@H home page. There is a bug related to running Einstein 4.79 with BOINC 4.45 (and you are). The bug affects graphics (the screensaver) and sometimes causes work units to terminate prematurely. The Beta Application fixes these problems. Information at Einstein@Home Beta Test link will explain how to install it.
