Screen saver problem persists

The screen saver some times splits into two and gives vizar chaotic figures and can not be stopped or changed, The computer has to be switched off and restarted to get it going again, Any suggestions or improvements?Thanks a lot.

Is your graphics driver up to date?

(that's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head)

Also, DirectX needs to be up to date.

Although, many people opt not to use the screen saver, as it can take precious cycles away from processing. I personally just use screen blank, or better yet save electric and shut the screen off.
