I am running this application (boinc445) on a Windows XP machine. I am not sure how to get the screensaver to run when noone is logged on. I can get it to run when someone is logged on and then when the keyboard is idle for so long, the screensave (einstein@home) comes up fine. But, when noone is logged on the screen saver says that the BOINC is not running. I installed it at a service. Wouldn't this allow the program to run when noone is logged on?
Thanks for any help.

Run as a service
)
The science application should be running all of the time. Can you check taskmanager to see if BOINC.exe is running? And to see which program is using the most CPU time?
The install of BOINC as a service does not allow the screen saver grpahics to run without extra work. The solution creates a small security hole. Control Panel - Administrative Tools - right click BOINC - Properties - Login Tab - Use service account and allow interaction with desktop. Changing these two settings will allow the screen saver to show. The small security hole is that you are allowing BOINC a bit more access to your computer than it absoloutely needs, so if one of the BOINC project developers is malicious they could download code that does more damage.
