    Saw the following on the server status page:
    "Floating point speed (from recent average credit of all users) : 584.0 TFLOPS"

    How do I calculate the number of FLOPS I contribute from my RAC? What's the formula used for the number on the server status page?

      This statistic is a somewhat rough estimation only, the formula is :

      Sum_over_all_volunteers(average credit per day) / 100000.

        So a credit is about 10MFlops if I have my decimal points in the right place.

        My question is how do you estimate how many credits to give to a task?

        I'm looking at a couple of simulations and it would be cool to have an estimate like this.
