While einstien was down, I added simap as a 2nd project because I about to run out of work. I set it's resource share to 1 (vs 100 for einstien). Since einstien's came back up, I'm still exclusively crunching simap workunits. Is the 1% share being charged against the ~6mo I was running einstien exclusively and not just the ~2days since I started the project?

Question about resource share

If you had units downloaded, it will work on them. Einstein has been busy, and not as quick handing out work. If you have both, it will split time with them, at least while you have both, once SIMAP is finished, it may get work from them every so often. Of course you can set it as No New Work, and then ask for work if/when the next time there is an outage.

I've still got ~2 dozen einstien wu's. before I ran out, my PC crashed and took my old client state.xml file with it. None of them've been touched since I updated and recovered them ~5hrs ago. Simap's on hold, but with a 2.5 day queue since I didn't think to drop my maximum queue length before adding it.
Or you can use the

Or you can use the BoincStudio and set SIMAP as backup project.
Then, it will only crunch SIMAP when there is no work from Einstein :-)
Where is that option located
)
Where is that option located at? I recalled seeing mention of it, but wasn't able to find it.
Regardless, my main issue is with the scheduler behavior not seeming to make sense. It was still crunching 100% on the simap WUs that were DLed while einstien was down, and hasn't touched the einstien WUs since recovery except for when I breifly gave a complete halt to simap.
I just noticed that when my PC crashed and corrupted my clientstate.xml I was given a new ID number. After merging the two computers back together and redownloading the old WUs it's now crunching einstien, but all the pending results I had on the PC appear to've been lost.

The backup option is part of the projects tab. If you don't see it you may need to enable from the columns menu.
Have you shut down boinc completely? Sometimes the BS manager seems to get stuck with its startup options.

On the left select the computer -> projects. There you can set, which projects are backup and on some projects turn on calibration.
