I tried all of the downloads listed for MacOS 10.2 (which I have) and none worked until I tried the 'work in progress' installer script which does all the setup for you. It seemed to have started off ok: I was able to 'log in' and it started requesting work, but then this message popped up saying that the project only supports MacOS Darwin versions 7.X and above. Does this mean the installer script gave me the wrong version of BOINC? It is now 'Deferring communication with project for 1 day..."

BOINC itself can run from 10.2 but this project can not be run with MacOS 10.2, see also the FAQ. 10.3.x is required.
I had similar problem at the start of the project.
