Hello I just got a message from the project saying that I have a old url ?

It says

Quote:
This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/

Only one problem the Bionic client will now not let me Remove the project from the client !!!!

How do I remove it when the client wont give me the option . I'm doing Seti at the moment and do not wish to reset or remove Bionic and redo the whole dam thing what have you guys done please reverse it so I can remove Einstein and then reattach it in a few days when you have sorted what ever your doing ..

P.M from Einstein wrong url problem

If you "Can't remove" (button greyed out?), you probably originally attached using an account manager like BAM! - if so, remove it the same way.

Though it would be surprising for BAM! to have the wrong url for a long-established project like this.

My client is exhibiting the

My client is exhibiting the same behavior. Was able to remove through BOINCstats BAM. but regardless of which url I enter, http or https, the project will insist on "removing the project when tasks are done" and gray the remove option button in the client gui. Tasks seem to be running alright.

don't try putting the URL
Just resyc it when Einstein disappears just add the project like normal and that should fix the problem

Don't be scared by this

Don't be scared by this message. BAM changed the attach URL to https which to BOINC is not the same as the one with http (which the server sends).

This project is not responsible for Boinc Account Manager issues ( it's not our software ). May I suggest that you contact those who do ? Say here.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter. Blaise Pascal

My apologies for imprecise

My apologies for imprecise language and mental short hand. The project never actually removed any tasks. The message "removing the project when tasks are done" was displayed in my client. with the other notice discussed below.
