Hello!
I am trying to recover the password for my Einstein@home account via:
http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/get_passwd.php
that I created many years ago but never actually used.
Unfortunately the password recovery email does not make it through to
my account at gmail (not even to the spam folder). Also, I do not
have access to the authenticator key.
FWIW, I also have an account with SETI@Home (UserID: desperaudio),
with the exact same email address, and when I try the password recovery
function there, I do get the PW recovery email.
Additional info: The email account in question is an email forwarding
service only that forwards to gmail.com.
Many thanks for your help!

That could be the reason so maybe it will work for you once things are back to normal here.

Hi!
Good news!
It looks like the gremlin that interfered with some of our email delivery features was finally tracked down. If not already fixed, expect a fix very soon.
Thanks for your patience, as far as I understood Oliver who was leading the hunt it was a rather complex interplay between different things that broke this functionality.

Status update:
While the e@h PW recovery email associated with this account does make it through to Gmail, the e@h PW recovery email for my daily-use email (a different non-Gmail email that is forwarded to this same Gmail email) whose PW I am trying to reset, does not.

Hi!
This is a good sign. So the delivery of automatically generated mails does work now.
Well, if E@H mails are sent out and reach you at your GMail account, then the problem must be at your "mail forwarding service", where we can't do much about it.
If the email address is not in any way related to the account you are currently using, we can't even determine what it is.
Given that you never actually used the account for anything, is there any reason why you want to recover the PW for this particular account instead of just dropping it and, if you still need a separate one, just create a new one?

As I learned a few minutes ago, there's still some configuration work that needs to be done to get our mail system to work flawlessly.
I sure hope that we can get to it today.

Update: The last flaw of the eMail configuration on our side has been fixed now. I suggest you make another, final attempt to recover the password for your second account the usual way, and if that fails, create a new account.
