I wanted to know that what kind of work we'll be doing & what are the tasks for us to be performed. Are there any other than the computer doing its own work.
You seem to have completed the setup correctly and downloaded 4 Gamma Ray Pulsar Search tasks, so that's working as it should, all you have to do now is to sit back and relax. The computer should process the tasks in due time and then upload and report them to the project and new tasks should replace them.
It's more or less "set and forget", no manual work needed.
To learn more about the project check out the links on the front page and the "Science" section of the message board. Just ask if you have questions and someone will come along and answer them.
Thanks for supporting me as I was expecting some kind of Research based experience from Einstein@Home & to learn about Gravitational Waves. The Science page has fulfilled my expectation & i feel great in joining everyone for this great cause in the search for Gravitational Waves.
Another place that I recommend checking into from time to time is the Technical News section of the message board where announcements on new searches and or apps are made, it's also a good place to check if the project seem to have run into problems as the project team usually post news on outages there. Usually they are few and far apart but they do happen from time to time.
If you on the other encounters problems the check out the Problems and Bug Reports area.
For info on how to optimize your computer and discussions on hardware and upgrades check out the Cruncher's Corner
If you can't find the answer to your question then don't hesitate to open a new thread and I'm sure someone will be along to help you.
