SUN offers me a 60 days tryout period. The WS has Solaris 10 loaded into it. I shall keep it intact and try to run the Linux application on it. Should Einstein, also SETI and QMC not run decently, I have already a DVD with SuSE 10.3 and I will load it on the WS. I have used Solaris on a Pentium 1 about 10 years ago and I am curious to see the difference. I have also used SUNOS on a Sparc WS while at Trieste Science Park. Both OSes are very similar to BSD 4.2, which I also used. Thanks for the informations.

Nope. But I think there is a way to run Linux Apps on modern Solaris systems, isn't it?

It's a built-in feature of Solaris nowadays, it's called Solaris Containers for Linux Applications. In theory it should work....
