I'm getting deferrals telling me there is now work available for the applications I have chosen:

So does that mean there's only Arecibo work available? (Something I don't want to run on my comparative slow computers, especially not in these hot days and nights).

Only Arecibo work available?
)
Hmm, of course 1 minute after me posting this (which was after waiting for 10 minutes already), I got a new task. So ignore the above for now. :-)
I was getting pretty much
)
I was getting pretty much only ABP after the project came back up, but I'm starting to see GW again with today's host checkin.
LOL... Oh, I see you are too now! :-)

RE: ...So does that mean

Have you actually tried running them? I found that the Arecibo work actually ran faster than the Hierarchical work on my Celeron 400 MMX.
RE: Have you actually tried
)
I have. They took 28-40 hours whereas GW runs in under 8. Since I am only allowing BOINC to do work between 9pm and 7:15am (when it's cooler) and GW doesn't heat my CPU as much as ABP does (ABP = 69C and above, GW is 54-57C even with new Nexus Silver applied), I prefer running GW.
Ah well, your machines
)
Ah well, your machines obviously aren't old enough or slow enough. When you get to the 4-day runtime range, ABP wins!
RE: I was getting pretty
)
This is most likely an effect of "WUs waiting for transitioner" (see server status page) that we had when the project came back up. GW (S5R5) work needs a responsive transitioner for generating tasks, ABP work doesn't.

RE: RE: I was getting

I have been getting this message starting back in April, just after I opted out of the binary search.

i've only gotten abp wu's too....
I recommend Secunia PSI: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/
RE: I have been getting

That's interesting. I'll look into that when I find the time.

It's still doing it. I just revived my second computer after its PSU died a week ago.
