Who maxed out their credit card and registered over 2400 computers in the last 24 hours? :-)

I have never seen so many come on board in one day since I started participating.

Ok, who did it?

The Seti Classic shutdown email has gone out. I guess any sudden upsurge is probably associated with that.

Cheers,
Gary.

Yesterday sometime, slashdot

Yesterday sometime, slashdot had a posting about SETI@home moving to BOINC. I used to do SETI@home but haven't for a long time, and I decided that these type of projects are worth my wasted idle time. So I'm one of the 2400 new users. :) I think for once, Slashdot actually HELPED something.

Alan,

Welcome to Einstein at Home!! Thanks very much for the explanation and congratulations on your excellent judgement in choosing to support this project :).

I've had a quick look at your computer (Athlon 64 3200+ - nice) and I see you have your first result crunching away. I'm very pleased that you seem to have everything up and running well without any problems. If you have any questions or need any help with anything, just ask away. You will find some pretty knowledgeable and helpful people frequenting these boards.

Cheers,
Gary.

I've just tried to edit some

I've just tried to edit some information in my profile but I can't seem to find an edit button?

I'm logged in and everything. And I donlt want to delete the profile - just edit it.

Any ideas?

Rob

Go to your account page.

Go to your account page. Under the section labelled "Profile" there are two links. One says "View or edit" and the other says "Delete". Click the "View or edit" link and on the page that appears you will see a further link that says "Edit your profile". Remember, this is a "view" or "edit" page so you would expect to "view" here and go somewhere else to do the actual "editing".

Cheers,
Gary.

Rob,
When you're finished updating your profile, make sure to click "update info" at the bottom of the Edit Profile page. You'll see the changes applied after a slight delay, as profiles have to be approved.
