Running Boinc/Einstein on FC22/Nvidia gtx770. app_config.xml contains:
<app_config>
<app>
<name>einsteinbinary_BRP4G</name>
<max_concurrent>4</max_concurrent>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.20</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>0.05 </cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
</app_config>
Bmgr says: Runningt (0.2 CPUs + 1 NVIDIA GPU) ... BRP4G-cuda32
All of the rest of my app_config's match the Mgr display - just not this one.
Suggestions? Thanks

How many GPU tasks are actually running concurrently?
I'm not sure you can set it
)
I'm not sure you can set it like that. There are special project preferences for that on Einstein@home. You don't need an app_config.xml to run concurrent tasks for our GPU apps. If you set this to 0.25 you will have the same effect after the current work is done on your PC.
You should then see four tasks that are "Running (0.2 CPUs + 1 NVIDIA GPU) ... BRP4G-cuda32".
Right now Bmgr
)
Right now Bmgr says:
---------------------------------------------------
GpuGrid, running (0.02 cpu + 0.3 gpu)
E@H Running
E@H Running
E@H Running
E@H Running
E@H Running Ready to start (0.2cpu + 1gpu)
E@H Running Ready to start (0.2cpu + 1gpu)
E@H Running Ready to start (0.2cpu + 1gpu)
E@H Running Ready to start (0.2cpu + 1gpu)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have 4 other projects, suspended right now. It's the "1" gpu that I'm fuss'n over. Every other project will show "0.25" or "0.3" - whatever app_config says. Or it could be a volkswagen in the code - really runs at 0.25 and tells Bmgr to report "1".
Ah, Christian, thanks. Old dog learn new trick. I've set my GPU settings to 0.4 and will set a bash script t watch the temp (I assume that's the warning) and alert me. Ignore the line above :-/
Thanks

I am not sure what "Runnning Ready to Start" means. It either says Running OR Ready to Start, not both.
I will give you this answer but I am still not sure it applies here - What shows in the BOINCMGR is the setting in the app_config.xml file (or default settings) when the task was DOWNLOADED. If you change the app_config,xml file AFTER the task was downloaded, the "display" does not change. Newly download tasks will show the change.
Double check to make sure you have app_config.xml spelled correctly.
Running Ready to Start

Running Ready to Start
same as
Typing Learning to Read
--------------------------
Bmgr doesn't allow copy/paste so I had to Running type the Ready line to Start. Can I plead lack of coffee???
Anyhow, a few hours later - no more questions. Thanks for the advice.
