and already have the libraries/dlls - they are the same as for BRP6 right?
Do I need to adjust/add an entry to my app_config maybe?

No, there are differences.

No, but i will ask - do you have an entry in app_config which matches these two applications - FGRPB1 and BRP4 ?

Reset BOINC again after checking prefs on this machine - I only have Parkes and Arecibo GPU checked - dunno why it keeps trying to send other apps
All with same result (http errors)
FGRPB1 (it a new beta) - Do you subscribe to beta apps? If so you will get them!

To prove it is not E@H may i suggest you try another project and see if you encounter the same problem (with new apps)? I really do think it is a firewall etc blocking this.

> Yes - This is Comodo Internet Security(cispremium)-with its own Firewall and AV/antimalware - Windows Firewall and Defender normally turned Off as has been my experience, one should only have One AV util and Firewall active.
[*Note: I did just "catch" Windows Firewall inadvertently turned on just now -after reading your last comment - and turned it Off again -- will see if that resolves these conflicts in a minute.] No - I only have BRP6 entry in app_config -- I've been crunching Parkes PMPS XT einsteinbinary_BRP6_1.57_windows_intelx86__BRP6-Beta-cuda55 Exclusively - and that's the reason I have "Run test applications" checked Well, I only "added BRP4G - Arecibo GPU in Preferences because that's the Only "other app" I wish to run - even this, is solely due to BRP6 temporary availability/feeder problem and resolution Thanks so much for your help with this troubleshooting! If you are right about the Firewall - the dual application I discovered and fixed would make sense - I will report back here after experiment (if the bug is resolved by that change or not)*Noting here that Windows Firewall and Defender are in fact Off on my Host named JBird ID: 11913206 - yet, same behavior I wonder, could you suggest just how to only RECEIVE and run these TWO apps that I want? <
I will report back here after experiment (if the bug is resolved by that change or not)*
So, as it turns out whether it was coincidental or not - I reverted my prefs to PMPS XT only as well as turning off Windows Firewall on the one that had it on accidentaly -
But my actual point here is that one task on one machine Plus 2 others on machine 2---PMPS XTs downloaded and ran/are running now - haven't seen any on machine 3 yet

I'd suggest have a look at your security / AV settings as something is blocking the application dll and exe's from being downloaded.

I am tempted to de-select "Run Test applications" and re-select Arecibo GPU to see if it might give me a batch - without the "other apps"
If that might free things up
Could this work?
And what do I turn off on my other machines to isolate this test to just this one machine?
Seems like I saw a switch somewhere
