I've been a member of SETI@HOME since 2000. I received a message that it was ending in December. I follwed the links & installed BOINC. I then tried to make it work with no luck. I follwed other links that stated I had to enroll. I then enrolled in E&H and received the Email with my user ID. From BOINC Manager I tried to enroll in the Project by pasting the URL. The following screen asks for a Proxy or SOCKS server. I am a Home user on a Broadband Cable Modem so I do not need any of this. I'm assuming that the application won't successfully link to the E&H Project. My Email address is:

John,
You might want to download and install BOINC again. There were a number of updates released very recently; and, I believe the problem you are having was fixed in one of them.

Edit: The latest BOINC (WIN) release is now v5.2.12 and, if I remember correctly, we were only at v5.2.8 on Friday.

Hi, John
Did you try starting the BOINC Manager, then click 'Settings', then 'Attach to Project' ? (If E@H isn't already shown when you click the Projects tab...)

Hi Mr. Torres,
Could you give us some information concerning the system you have e.g. cpu speed, Ram amount, harddrive size, and of course OS you are on.
The fact that this message board logged you on means that you are registerd on E@H system. I did'nt see your computer so that could mean it is still not hooking up with WU(Work Units).

Stick,
I just downloaded and installed the new BOINC version. I was successful in enrolling in the E&H Projrct.
Now I just nhave to get my completed Units transferred over. When I went to print a SETI Certificate it stated that there were just over 1500 Units completed. I have 3 PCs and the one that I am using right now has 1921 Units completed. My SETI@HOME User ID is "jpmtjr".

Hi John,
thanks for joining E@H.
There is no link between the S@H and the E@H projects other than the use
of the same DC platform, BOINC. So if you want to continue contributing
to S@H you will have to "enroll" there. As a returning participant you should
follow this link on the new S@H website.
Hope you are not leaving here.

Glad to hear you are up and running!
If I remember correctly, the data which Seti used to create BOINC accounts for Classic users, was dated sometime last March or April - when your total probably was around 1500. I believe they have promised to update that data once Classic closes down.
