As if that is so important. The people with access to the server to edit those messages are doing other things at the moment.

Sorry, I didn't realize I had asked for your opinion on it . I didn't think to make mention on an obvious dating error, Which does look rather odd, That a project wouldn't either know, Or care that the date of the year is wrong on the main websites Latest News Posts, Would be offensive to anyone.

I find your message unfriendly - to say the least, rude is nearer the market.

At least there is news. Date doesn't matter that much. We all know what year it is. If it really bothers you that bad, don't read it.
When there was no news, people were complaining about that. I personally do not worry about those sorts of things. I just allow my computers to crunch projects, and hope they stay warm. If not, oh well, I save a few pennies on my electric.

I'm amazed at the response on this simple posting. A simple bump to keep a problem that hasn't been addressed yet, Is all that I had intended. Well, To be critised for a simple post as this, When I thought I originally was just helping the Einstein crew with it, Is a mistake I will NOT repeat again. And also, It doesn't bother me persoanlly at all if the dates wrong, As I stated, I thought I was just helping out, Plus, Im also a Publisher for BOINC Synergy, And its one of my responsibilities to visit all the different projects, See if there are any new news, And then copy/paste it to our Teams Website to help not only our team members, But for the many others that goto our website for news or stats or whatever. That is the only reason I noticed it to begin with, And made mention here to it. As I thought it might look odd to post the Einstein News updates at Synergy, Along with the other teams messages, But Einstein being the only one that still in the year 2006. My mistake for trying to help I guess.

While I agree that it's not a major issue, it's also happening in the RSS Feed, and so all the news in my feed reader is jumbled up with last years news.
Not a big issue, I'll admit, but an issue none the less.
To be fair though, the SETI guys have it worse - their feed is currently setting all news as 01 Jan 1970 - so that's really stuffed.

I'm not picking sides or alike. Just think, the reason one of your posts seemed so hasty, was because of this line quoted from your 2nd to previous post.
"Sorry, I didn't realize I had asked for your opinion on it"

A user should have the ability to come and post what he/she believes to be an issue, Especially when written in the Problems and Bug Reports threads, Without having to be criticised, and or belittled by another user like I was by Ageless. I bumped the thread, As it was way down the threads list, And since it hadn't been corrected, I thought the Adms might have missed it. It was that simple. I don't understand why he felt the need to belittle my post as he did, Other than the fact to make his own opinion stated against my post. To which my response was valid. The real issue to me, Is why it is that no one seems to think his responce was uncalled for at all, And in fact, That Im the one out of place here for even posting it. Or have also been told, If it bothers you that bad, Then Don't read it ! This and Ageless's nice comments seems to me, More offensive than mine. I can only hope that these opinions that I have recieved here, Are not the ones of the Adms also.
