I moved from Boinic menubar, to Boinc Manager. My computer 750230.
Sorry I lost these units, please reassign:

But not until 19 December, the other computer/s will have to wait until then, and then have to wait again when reassigned to complete.
RE: I moved from Boinic

You now seem to have two computers, 750230 and 1063035. It's interesting that the newer host ID was created just a few hours after your older host last received work from the project. Both machines are running Darwin 8.11.1 but the older host was using BOINC 5.4.9 whilst the newer one is using BOINC 5.10.29. The science app is the same in both cases.
If, as I suspect, you really only have a single host and these hosts are being described differently because of the vastly different versions of BOINC, it would be a good idea to merge the two hosts. If you really do have two separate hosts then ignore the following comments.
Merging (click a host ID and see the link at the bottom of the page) will be difficult because the different descriptions will cause the merge process to think that the two hosts shouldn't be merged. You can give it a try to see if merging is allowed but I would think not. However merging can still be done if you are prepared to go to a bit of trouble. If you can merge, all the missing work should be resent to you by the server which would save it having to wait and be sent out to a third cruncher when it expires.
If you want to attempt merging, let me know and I'll give you instructions.
Cheers,
Gary.
I tried merging, but neither

I tried merging, but neither would merge, perhaps they will after some time?

You can't do it the "usual" way because the system sees two completely different CPU type descriptions, as shown below:-
CPUID 750230 - i386 iMac6,1
CPUID 1063035 - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7400 @ 2.16GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6]
The merge function relies on these strings being the same.
The way to get them the same is to make sure the same version of BOINC is creating them. In other words you have to "downgrade" your version of BOINC back to 5.4.9 in order to do the merge and then upgrade again once the merge is achieved. I have done this in the (distant) past and it has worked but I have no recent confirmation that this is still the case. It's worth a try if you are willing to have a go. I would think it's unlikely to cause any harm but I can't guarantee that. It's just that it may not work.
Another point is that I'm describing things from a Windows perspective. I have no experience with Macs so please make allowances if things work differently in your environment. Here are the steps:-
* Make a backup copy of what is left in the BOINC folder
* Disconnect the network cable (as a precaution) in case of error in the next step
* Install the old version of BOINC (5.4.9) and (once running without error) reconnect the network cable and update the project
* Check that the changed "CPU Type" description string has been recorded on the website and agrees with the string for host 750230
* You should now be able to merge and the lost work should be resent to you
* Once this has finished you can stop BOINC and uninstall version 5.4.9
* Reinstall 5.10.29 and everything should be back to normal.
If there is any error, the unplugged network cable will prevent this from being passed back to the project and trashing all your work. It's quite unlikely that there would be any problem but it's better to be safe than sorry. Please report back if anything unusual or unexpected does happen.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Gary.
RE: * Disconnect the

IME BOINC will freeze if the Mac is disconnected, unless it’s been first told not to use the network (from the Activity menu). YMMV.
You may have to reset the permissions on the BOINC Data folder to get an older version to work, because the current version will have assigned it to the special boinc_master and boinc_project user & group. (I haven’t tried this myself yet, so I’m not sure what will happen—just something to watch out for.)

RE: I would probably end up
)
There's no reason why you should end up with another CPU ID at all, if all you are doing is changing the version of BOINC. Please understand that uninstalling BOINC and then reinstalling a different version is designed to be inherently safe as long as a few things are properly understood.
When you install BOINC and attach to a project, you end up with a mixture of files, some associated with BOINC itself and the rest associated with whatever projects you attach to. When you uninstall BOINC (in the Windows environment at least - I have no knowledge of the Mac environment) the executables for BOINC are removed but important configuration files are left intact. Also all executables and data associated with a project are left intact.
If you then decide to reinstall BOINC (whatever 5.x.x version) the entire state of your machine will be found and reused - unless you have deliberately removed more than what the uninstall procedure itself removes. In other words, there is no way you should lose your current CPU ID unless you do something like a manual deletion of the entire BOINC folder after a standard uninstall has completed.
Your decision not to attempt the procedure to merge your two IDs (as improved by Odysseus) is fine. The decision is entirely up to you. I'm only responding because I don't want any casual readers to think that changing the version of BOINC would automatically lead to a further duplication of the CPU ID.
Cheers,
Gary.

Yes, Sorry but I spent enough time getting Bionic Manager going. Will quit while I am ahead. The new user and group were a surprise.
