No, LISA Pathfinder was not looking for a wave. It was aiming to demonstrate that you can have a free fall system on a spacecraft. One secondary objective could be a more precise measurement of the gravitational constant G. Tullio

So, e/LISA will be a timely limited project, as it consumes fuel for driving the thrusters to withstand sunwinds etc.. What´s the projected lifetime?
