As i work in Scientific/seismic application code development, i feel qualified to ask whether you need any help optimizing your performance to Linux/Mac.i have 10 years in advanced trouble shooting. I would need a small data set and of course the current source code for Einstein at home. Your call ......

Mr. Sommerville,

A better venue to present your offer might be the BOINC developer's mailing list. I believe Professor Allen (project head) submits to and reads those emails more often than these forums.

And if you choose to make your kind offer there, I sincerely hope that it is warmly received. There are a lot of linux users out there whose suffering is severely in need of alleviation.

Cheers,
Gary.

If the goal is to make the Einstein science app. run better, then the request should go to the Einstein project (who wrote the app.) and not to BOINC.

BOINC doesn't necessarily have the latest Einstein code, or the right to change it.

You are probably correct,

However I am not aware of any mailing lists specifically for I do see Bruce Allen emails fairly frequently in boinc_dev.

If they exist, they would be better.
