I'm running the 4.19 Windows client (non-gui) under Wine on Linux and I'm getting very good results. So good, in fact, that this computer is currently top of the heap!:

It's beating out a bunch of froriep's 4-processor Opteron 848 systems and it's only a 2-processor Opteron 248 system--and everything else out there right now running Einstein.

A bit of bragging, but wanted to show a real example of the results you can get with Linux and Wine.

The only gotcha that I've run across is if the system looses power or crashes (that's never happened, unlike my Windows systems), it corrupts client_state.xml and client_state_prev.xml. I now run a script to back them up frequently. And I really should get it on a UPS...

Enjoy!

Very nice system.
Could you give some details on the software.
What Linux distro, 32bit or AMD64 version, which Wine version and is it 32bit etc?

Thanks
