HA! Even if we could afford it, those speeds are not even a residental option where we live.  How on earth did you get such high upload speeds?  Except for content providers, I didn't think ISPs allowed such a thing.

In select markets, some ISPs now allow Gigabyte speeds for residential customers.

I have the option of up to 1Gbps speeds here but they cost $400 per month, they use fiber optic cable to do it. I'm paying for 400Mbps so I have to check my router again and see if the settings have changed. The local ISP, ATMC< won't use large packet sizes so I have to play with the numbers to prevent everything going thru 2 packets instead of just one. Every piece of data going thru 2 packets gives me the speeds you see above.

I'm inclined to think about

I'm inclined to think about pies right now. [Nothing to do with winning the thread however].

What kinds of pie (not PI) do you like people? My wife makes a very good pecan pie (Mikey's favorite I hear...and mine too!).

Yep, pecan is one of my favourites, but blueberry is up there, as well as a certain type of key lime pie. Rhubarb pie is mighty nice when done well.

Ideas are not fixed, nor should they be; we live in model-dependent reality.
