My pending WUs have dropped by 600+ credits and my RAC has climbed almost 100 points in the last hour.

Woohoo!

Yes, its a joyous day. Was around 10,500 credits pending and now around 5500. Sure glad I didn't stop crunching during the outages as now my totals are going to where they would have been on a gradual curve.

GREAT work einstein@home team. Your efforts are and have been greatly appreicated.

Very good news indeed. I went down from about 16K pending to 5.5K till now :-)

Would be nice if one of the staff could explain in detail what they did ;)

Yep, I'd definitely

Yep, I'd definitely appreciate that, too. For those of us who are interested in the technology behind the project, this kind of explanation is always very interesting to read.

Here’s an impressive

Here’s an impressive illustration of how great the backlog was, from the E@h overview page on BOINCstats:

—it appears that over sixty million credits were granted yesterday.

P.S. The peak is obviously very high; we’ll see how broad it gets over the next few days. It’s a little like watching the light-curve of a supernova …
