Hello,

I get only Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Perseus Arm Survey) for GPU (AMD), is this correct?

Have checked ALL sorts of tasks on Einstein preferences settings.

Yes, only the Perseus Arm Survey for GPU and the others are CPU only.

That's a pity as the Gamma Ray search on Albert@home via GPU is almost 8 times faster than on CPU.

If you haven't seen it yet

If you haven't seen it yet have a look at this thread!

The Perseus ARM Survey is GPU only, if you would however run it on a CPU you would see that the CPU vs. GPU runtime ratio for this search is far higher than 8. Depending on the GPU and CPU models you compare, this factor can be higher than 50! So in terms of making the best use of a GPU, the BRP Perseus arm search isn't bad at all. OTOH, we have a whole bunch of FGRP2 data to crunch through so at some point in the future we might decide to offer FGRP OpenCL apps nevertheless (continuously improving the GPU performance as we did with the BRP app).

Thanks for the info Bikeman (you have a nice job now I read). Indeed I was missing the BRP's but they are finished. And indeed the PAS are way faster on GPU then CPU.
With the card I have HD5870, I see that GPS (on Albert) is 8 times faster on the GPU than on my quad core CPU (at Einstein), while GPU load at Albert is only 20% every 1.5 minutes (see thread at Albert about this). Perhaps not a good comparison.
Einstein@home is my main project, running 24/7 on a quad cpu. Would be very nice if there is more to crunch on GPU. As you do not need double precision a lot of nVidia cards can be used as well.
My RAC was more than 11000 with BRP on GPU.
