I am and have been fo a year or two a cruncher on Seti@Home, I love the idea and have crunched a few thousand packets of data (well my machines have) anyway when I try to get Seti up the system tells me that my email address is already being used if I atempt to create a new user, and or my pass word is incorrect if I try to use my current account (and I am using the one sent by your system because I did not remember it) so can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or is there any way to reestablish my seti account on BOINC... I have hooked up with the Einstein project but I still would like to look for ET :~)

Right now, the Seti servers are a bit overloaded. Just check the Seti homepage and read the Technical News or look at Server Status. So your inability to sign up now is likely due to the problems they are having. Just be patient and monitor the Seti web-site. I am sure you'll be able to sign up sometime soon. In the meantime, welcome to Einstein!

To help you get going with Seti, I did a quick check over there and there is no account there for "william.eiland". Perhaps you used a different name when you were with classic? Your message is a bit unclear but I'm assuming that your account on classic seti is fine but you can't find your account on BOINC/Seti?
Did you see the special instructions for classic users on the Seti front page? Your classic account will have already been transferred to BOINC and probably that is why your email address is being reported as "being used". All you need to do is follow the special instructions to find your transferred account at Seti. You should not be trying to create a new account on BOINC/Seti.
Please click on the special instructions and you will see a form which has three separate data entry areas. If your classic email address is still current and valid, that's the only thing you need enter (it's in the first section). Then click "OK" and you should get to the account that has already been set up for you on BOINC/Seti.
If you have problems with this, please post back with details of exactly what you tried and exactly what happened.
