I am getting this result on my Mac-What does this mean?

I'm getting the exact same error,
"Einstein@Home|Message from server: This project doesn't support OS type Darwin 9.5.0"
and I have no clue on how to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Please HELP!

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with your Microsoft product.

I'm a bit puzzled, your host actually shows assigned tasks (some from yesterday). So it is a new error message? Or do you get the error message AND still get tasks assigned nevertheless?
Anyway, I forwarded your problem to the devs, thanks for reporting this.

Hi Bikeman,
After uninstalling and reinstalling BOINC will not download new tasks. The project status starts off by "Communication deferred 24:00:00" even after selecting "Update" the "Communication deferred..." message gets reset to 24 hours. Moreover, under the projects tab where the websites are shown mine only shows 1, "Einstein@Home" where normally there are 13 buttons for websites; "Your account", "Your results", "Your Computers" etc...
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks for the aditional info. This might be related to a very recent update of OS X, and is currently investigated. Stay tuned.

I'm getting essentially the same error on my MacBook, running the latest version of Mac OS X 10.5.5. This just started. Previously I was having no problems.

Hi all!
Is this Einstein@Home specific? Are you able to get work from other projects?
This is almost certainly related to the latest update of Mac OS X 10.5, the question is whether the problenm is with the OS detection on the client side or the platform matching on the server side, or just a configuration problem. Stay tuned.

Ok, apparently this could be fixed by configuration (though the actual bug is in the scheduler code).
Please update the project on the Clients and report back.

The problem re Darwin 9.5.0
)
The problem re Darwin 9.5.0 is no longer showing up on my MacBook after I did a reset (I had no outstanding work) and update this morning. I (finally) got a couple of new tasks to work on.
RE: RE: Ok, apparently

If you look close, it's not the same: There is no longer an error message that complains about an incompatible OS. What you see in your messages is the following: the client does NOT ask for new work (perhaps another BOINC project should run first, or there are already enough tasks waiting to run), and the server is then (of course) not sending any tasks. All seems fine.
