ref: B.A.M. = boinc account manager
im planning on running spinrite on my drive when my current cache runs out (dont want to risk it dieing and taken work with it!) since my hard drive performance has went down quight a bit. ok, alot. drives less than a year old and its allready at 75% according to speedfan on both performance and fitness.
anyway. after im done doin all that im gonna upgrade boinc.. question is, how do i DETACH from a bam? the one i attachd to basicly wiped out the project i was on at the time.. and i find that because of the color change on the charts of said bam, i can no longer use the service (color blind).. in my boinc folder i see some files referanceing bam.
acct_mgr_login.xml
acct_mgr_reply.xml
acct_mgr_request.xml
acct_mgr_url.xml
would deleteing thease files afectivly detach from the bam? and would doing so cause issues for boinc?

You're using a Trux version
)
You're using a Trux version of BOINC which may not have been fully up-to-date for using BAM (the first version was 5.4.6 if I am not mistaken). But look in the Options and/or Commands menu.
RE: You're using a Trux

nada, options has ,,, general, connections, http proxy, and socks proxy. commands has 3 settings for preferance, 3 for network act, and retry comms, run benchmarks.
its a trux, says boinc version 5.2.2 .. hmm. thanks for the help yall. im betting after i install the offical app that option will be there.. if its not. ill take my chances and delete those files (after a backup ofcourse)
again, thanks :)
