The atiOpenCL applications are only installed at the Albert test project. I don't know if the 'count' option has been made available there - you would have to check. Certainly any preference change made here at Einstein won't affect Albert applications.
Your only running BRP3cuda32 application is decribed as 'lokal' - in other words, controlled by an app_info.xml file.
After you remove app_info.xml, and download the new stock application, you will see the tasks described as BRP4cuda32, without the prefix 'lokal': then, the new preference will work.

Richard,
many THX for the help, I've totally forgotten the app-info for einstein.
I removed it and it works now for both projects, also I never had an app_info for albert.
Albert has the setting as well but it looks like its working only for the nvidia wu's. I'll ask there.
I stumbled onto the availability of a utilization factor preference for Einstein and decided to try it for my GTX550TI. It's working perfectly! Thanks you so much for making this available to increase the utilization of my GPU. As a result, I've increased the Resource Share for Einstein, and lowered the share of other projects that don't give me this option. Thanks guys! Rick

Have any new CUDA tasks been downloaded since changing the preference?

Yes, all of them.
To be shure I stopped BM and restarted it again. Afterwards I posted this.

You will have to follow Bernd's instructions for removing app_info.xml before the new preference will take effect.
