How can I see if my GPU is beeing used by Einstein.
It is especially about my Nvidia Quadro K1000M.
In Boinc I only see 8 WU processed by CPU i7 3720 QM, Host ID: 5938675
On my other host I see 2 WU by CPU E6600 and one WU saying: 0.5cpu and gpu. So that this host is crunching on 3 WU, Host ID: 6392803
Is it depending on the WU I get send, or do I have to change settings?
I want to share the power of my Quadro!

Thanks.

GPU Utilisation

GPU-Z :)
Look at your Einstein@Home preferences, and check 'Use NVIDIA GPU
Enforced by version 6.10+', if it's not 'yes'.

Thanks, I already have such a tool. It shows that the GPU is not being used.
The Einstein@home settings are : use ati, yes. use nvidia, yes.

Your GPU is being detected (look in the startup messages in the event log in BOINC Manager - Advanced view).

I think your problem may be your driver version - check out this sticky thread.

Cheers,
Gary.

I definitely missed that,

I definitely missed that, because I have one old GT9800, which I use mostly for S@H. Thanks, Gary.

Although I had automatical

Although I had automatical driver update on, I still had an older driver. Now I have downloaded a new one. Still no GPU WU running.
Will I have to wait until I get these kinds of WU?

Thanks for the help!

That's because all your GPU Wu's error out immediately on start:

7.0.28

- exit code -1073741515 (0xc0000135)

Sounds like a corrupt app, or app installation.

That's because you're trashing them. http://einsteinathome.org/host/5938675/tasks shows that all the Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) v1.32 (BRP4cuda32nv301) fail with an error --the error being exit code -1073741515 (0xc0000135).

See http://einsteinathome.org/node/196369 on what helped others with the same error. Essentially it being to uninstall the OpenCL drivers for the Intel HD Graphics device built into your CPU.

Or if you yearn to live dangerously, update to Beta BOINC 7.0.42, which will be able to deal with that GPU device (although no work is available for it on any project).

Apropos, according to your server contact log you also seem to have run out of disk space.

With my graphics card gadget

With my graphics card gadget I see still no usage of the gpu anyway.
So what should I do now?

You will not see any usage shown on your gpu gadget as really there is no usage... all your cuda work errors out before it really starts.

Follow the advice in the thread that Ageless linked to and your problems should be resolved :-)

I see that 45 minutes after

I see that 45 minutes after my post, Suffkoppus' computer was still requesting work that erred immediately upon start. So either he didn't uninstall the Intel HD Graphics OpenCL drivers, or he did but forgot to exit & restart BOINC afterwards.

At the moment it's moot, as he's reached the maximum of tasks in progress. Only by returning correct work will that limit be gradually lifted, as it's in place exactly for things like this: (runaway) computers thrashing all the work they get.

So now we'll wait until a CPU task gets returned correctly, which doubles the maximum tasks value, or we wait 24 hours to try again.
