Hi,

Noticed this thing on the machine 12202860:

Task id: LATeah1031F_88.0_510_-5.5e-11_1

run time: 38.724 seconds (huge, about 10,75 days!!)

cpu time: 37.859 seconds.

And there were a few tasks like that one, it wasn't single unfortunately.

What can one understand from this? A GPU task done by CPU? some error? It can't be normal, i guess.

Cheers!

The task was run by

The task was run by application 'Gamma-ray pulsar search #5 v1.08 (FGRPSSE)'. Gamma-ray pulsar search #5 is a CPU only sub-project. For GPU it is called Gamma-ray pulsar search #1.

P.S. The runtime was 10.75 hours (not days) which is normal for a CPU task of this kind.

Correction: for GPU it calls

Correction: for GPU it calls Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1

And its a different project from Gamma-ray pulsar search #5

- one is looking for ordinary gamma ray pulsars (run on CPU only)

- another is looking for gamma ray pulsars located in tight binary systems, where signals coming to Earth from such pulsar distorted by fast orbital motions of stars in binary system making detection significantly harder (run on both CPU and GPU)
