    Hi there,

    Gravitational Wave search 03 All-Sky # stopped at 99%; it can finished it.

    How can I solve this.

    On my Gigabyte 3060 Vision OC 12gb, I have the latest driver. 0.90 CPU for 1GPU.

    Can you help me ?

        Your computers are hidden.  Consider showing them to us.

         

        The final stage, starting at 99%, can take a very long time, especially if you have a slow Cpu.

         

        How much time has the Gpu taken so far?

        How long have you waited for it to complete the final stage?

          Please have a look at the computer named Pulsar, Ryzen 5950x, 64mb ram, Gigabyte 3060 Vision 12gb

          I started a new task : h1_0310.40_O3aC01Cl1In0__O3AS1_310.50Hz_7830

          Stucked at 99% during 15 minutes. Then 100%

          What do you think ?

           

          Should I upgrade my GPU ? If yes, which one would you take :
          - Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT SE Gaming OC
          - Gigybyte 3080 Ti Vision

            The WU (work unit or task) was not stuck, it just takes that long to finish up.

            It is 100% successfully done and is waiting for validation - all OK.

            Be patient.

            Your Gpu is fine.  Stay with it and save money.

             

            On my Gpu those kind of jobs take about 6 minutes to get to 99% and then they take another

            6 minutes on the Cpu to finish.

            These tasks are "heavy" on the Cpu at the end.

              So in this case, if I give 2 tasks at the same time to my GPU, it is really worth to allocate 2 CPU as well :

              0.9 CPU with 0.5 GPU + 0.9 CPU with 0.5 GPU

               

              By the way, I don't know why 0.9 CPU is allocated and not 1 CPU. Do you know how I could increase it to 1 CPU ?

                  Regarding overclocking, do you do it for your GPU ? for your CPU ?

                  Regarding the GPU, I believe memory clock is the only parameter which is helpful to increase. What are you thoughts ?

                    I don't do OC.

                     

                    I try to achieve long lasting PC components.  So I don't mess with OC.

                    I have relatively high performance parts and compensate so the lack of OC.

                     

                    Use the "search" option to find threads about OC - there are many specialists ...
