I ran BOINC under an ADMIN account and the GPU was located and used. 3 WU's were finished OK. It looked like the WU's that ran while another user was logged on to the PC crashed. Only the WU's that ran on the GPU were affected. After uninstalling BOINC and reinstalling it to run as a daemon the GPU is not found?? Can anyone help?

Both of these are known issues and have been discussed extensively in other threads:
1) GPU apps don't like user switches. If you must change users, you should shut down the BOINC core client and science apps first. CPU apps are not affected.
2) Due to the new driver sandboxing in Windows Vista and Windows 7 (all flavors), the BOINC core client is unable to detect the GPU when it is running as a daemon. If you want to crunch on your GPU, you must run BOINC from a user account.

The newer Beta version of Boinc supposedly address the multiple user problem but I am not sure it totally works yet. You can try it by clicking on the link on the home page to Download Boinc, then clicking on the All Versions link on the next page. You will see the newest version is 6.12.15 but it is still in testing for a reason, it is not ready for public use yet and may be full of problems!

6.12.15 doesn't have the 'fast user switch -> GPU suspend' fix included. Wait for 6.12.16, which should have it.
