I am tring participate in Einstein BOINC search for gravity waves and I need someone to help me get started. I have an account and participated two years ago in search for gravity waves. I downloaded the program but I can't get a project. Everything is enabled except it says "GPU computing is suspended" what do I do? Please help!

"GPU computing is suspended" what do I do?

The amount of memory on that videocard is not enough to do work here at Einstein. The minimum amount free is 300MB, as shown in the minimum requirements thread.

So that leaves you running work on your CPU, but apparently you've got Einstein set up to not run on the CPU, only on the Nvidia GPU, as your client is only asking for GPU work, not for CPU work. To change that, go to the project preferences and check the settings for:

Use CPU
Enforced by version 6.10+
Use NVIDIA GPU
Enforced by version 6.10+

Also check what you set for "Run only the selected applications" and for "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" and "Run CPU versions of applications for which GPU versions are available".

I see that but the min. is 300mb which i have... that is what I don't understand... is that speed or what? It's on the laptop it really does not matter but would be nice to use... Desktop is running great :)
