Bruce,

I can't seem to edit a post that I have made. Clicking "edit post" loads a new page, the header is there, but the body of the page is blank. No edit box containing the previous post details and no "Ok" button.

Using MS IE 6.

Is it a forum bug, or just me?

Just guessing: The posting contained a character like '<' or similar. When such a character appears in free text, then you have to write it as '<'

This happened to me a few times :-(

No, I believe it's a bug. I'm using Mozilla and have seen exactly the described behaviour when trying to edit just simple text. It's happened to me a couple of times in the last few hours.

Cheers,
Gary.

Do you see what happened to my message when you replied?

BTW: Ctrl+U, check the source code of the page, look for textarea, you should see the prefilled/copied text there.

This is a test to see if I can reproduce the problem.

[NOTE ADDED 30 MINUTES LATER]

OK, I was able to reproduce the problem, and I've now fixed it! I apologize. This was my fault -- I was making some changes to the forum-editing PHP code and inadvertently broke it.
