If we run the Einstein screensaver it locks up the computer from time to time - power plug job! I notice we have also had a few "compute failure" jobs about the same time.

Running BOIC 5.4.9 - any suggestions?

Might want to make sure your graphics card driver is current (see this thread). Also your version of DirectX (read this).

just one suggestion,, unhide your computers so we can see the errors in question. dont worry we cant see sensative data like ip address, only you can, if you want to see what you can see click on my name here and click on the link by "computers" to see mine.

and a copy of the info under the "messages" tab in boinc manager would be helpfull.

folks will probably allso suggesting that you make sure your vide drivers and directx are up to date.

and will allso suggest running einstine "allwayse" instead of just as a screensaver since einstine backs off when you need the pc.. that is, its set at a low prioraty and most other things on your pc are set at "normal" kinda like first class postage versus parcel post on a package.

o.k. that was more then just one suggestion :)

EDIT: man im a slow typer :)

seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.
