I've been running SETI for a while and just added Einstein to my projects. My Einstein screen saver flashes back and forth between the very pleasing sphere display and an annoying BOINC logo about once a second. Is this normal? If so, please consider another option. It's too distracting. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't normal behavior. I haven't run the screensaver in quite a while. However, there is a known "graphics bug" that may be causing you problems. I had a look at your results page and it shows one result in progress and nothing else, so it's a bit hard to tell if the bug is your problem.
What you can try is installing the beta app located here. Just a note, you have to wait until all the E@H WUs you have are finished crunching or you will trash them in the change over.

This behaviour is definitely NOT normal behaviour - before you get the Beta you might also try out whatever latest video card drivers are available for your machine. Also check that your vid-card can use OpenGL as this is required for the sphere display.

As the others have suggested, your problem is not normal and probably could be solved by upgrading to the latest available video drivers for your hardware.
In the meantime, through your desktop properties, set your screensaver to blank the screen. That will direct more cpu cycles to the science app and should help your crunch time. Your first result took 17.5 hours and you might be able to reduce that by an hour or so if you forego the graphics.
If you already have the latest drivers, you might like to see if the beta app suggested by Kathryn solves the problem. If everything works correctly, you should see a continuous display of the star sphere with no changing to the BOINC logo.
