Nothing happened. Just to make sure I did this right (I am very new to Linux, sorry), I opened the project file (where the file is located) in terminal and then ran:
chmod 777 JPLEPH.405
There was no message or error. I then used sudo chmod 777 JPLEPH.405 and nothing happened.
Thank you for helping trouble shoot this- sorry I am not well-versed in Linux!
Should I detach from the project and then re-attach to download the project again? I will confirm the project runs just with the vanilla application and then go from there. I know it did, but I would like to make sure again.
No change- latest result (after chmod 777 JPLEPH.405):

try detaching/resetting the project to force it to redownload all the setup files. and replace any of the special app files that got deleted.
the error message definitely points to a problem reading the JPLEPH.405 file. but I don't see any difference in how the stock app accesses this file and how this special app does it. they should be the same.
I reset the project, made sure the project files were no longer on the system. Re-attached, running vanilla and it is running (without the new app).
I am going to deplete the few work units that downloaded, then try the modification again. I will try 0.95 first then go from there. Also, just so I make sure of this, the "run manager" file goes into the same location as the 5 kernels and EAH_sleep?
maybe permissions on the .405
)
maybe permissions on the .405 file?
run this on it to open it up completely just to check.
chmod 777 JPLEPH.405
if it says you don't have permission to do that, use sudo.
also, what is the file size reported? that ephem file should be like 9.3MB
