Having only just begun with E@H I have a question regarding "temporary internet files" on my PC. Are work units stored in temp. internet files before being uploaded to the server? Or are they stored in the BOINC program. My PC is scheduled for routine dics maintanence once a week and I generally delete temp. internet files beforehand. Will I be deleting w.u.s or portions of them if I do this?

AFAIK, BOINC and the projects store all of their files in one of their own directories, so you shouldn't have a problem running disk maintenance from a file loss POV.

BOINC store all files within it's installation folder.
It had been suggested several times to have option for temp and/or data folder; perhaps the archive folder might have been good back in times when BOINC was intended to serve for data storage.
I would recommned to suspend or even exit BOINC when doing disk maintanence. It is known that some project (like CPDN) are sensitive to locking files - which may take place while AV scan running or disk defragmentation.
I've done disk cleanup and

I've done disk cleanup and defrag no problem.
I do exit BOINC tho. It runs a lot smoother I've found.
BOINC doesn't seem to have a problem with my AV (Kaspersky).
