Hi all.

I have been using E@H, & many others, for many years, and now have a problem with E@H & BoincStats not showing my work. I have searched through the forums but have only found responses saying 'update your privacy settings'. I have done this months ago, but it still doesn't update. Does anyone else have this problem? has anyone else suffered the same symptoms and managed to resolve it?

You have to go into your account and click the box to allow the exporting of your stats. Click Account above then Preferences then Privacy then looks for this:

Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation Web sites?: yes/no

Mikey - thanks for that, but

Mikey - thanks for that, but I have already done that. I have also changed it to 'NO', left it for a week, then changed it back to 'YES'.

Hi Mark I tried searching

Hi Mark

I tried searching for Mark at Boincstats but couldn't find anyone matching your info there, so I changed tactics and followed the link to your profile on Milkyway@home and discovered that you use another alias there. When I search Boincstats using that alias I got only 1 hit (or 2 depending on how you look at it).
Searching here at Einstein using the other alias gets a hit on an active user completing tasks but that user is not shown on Boincstats.

Do you have multiple accounts?

Alias Mark has a RAC of 0.09 so hasn't been active for quite some time.
Alias buddha13 is active, is this also you account?

Hi Holmis, no I only have one

Hi Holmis, no I only have one account, and have had so since early 2000's. This only started around Nov 2018, I think this coincided with the GDPR updates. However to keep things tidy, I have changed my Username on E@H to match that on the other projects I use Boinc for. Lets see if that makes a difference.

The username shouldn't matter

The username shouldn't matter but the e-mail does, it needs to be the same for all projects for stats sites to be able to link them together. More info on cross project identification can be found here.

Your host list shows that the last time any of your hosts contacted Einstein@home was on 21 nov 2018.
Maybe try adding a host to Einstein and completing a task will get things working again?

Thanks HOLMIS, my email is

Thanks HOLMIS, my email is the same across all projects & has not changed. I have also checked the cross project ID & they are the same for all projects that i'm crunching.

As for hosts, according to BoincStats all of my hosts are attached (same for all my Projects). Nothing has changed my end since Nov 2018.

I am struggling to track down what has caused this to happen, I have searched through the forums to see if anyone else has suffered the same problems, but the only posts I have seen refer to the privacy settings (which I changed when they were first announced).

I suppose if nothing else I will have to remove E@H, delete my account & start all over again. Shame to lose what I've already crunched though.

I'd be surprised if that was not the case as it seems your accounts on different projects are linked as they should be.
And I'm happy to try and help or at least diagnose the problem so that the admins can fix it! Wink

By this is guess your using BAM (Boinc Account Manager), BoincStats and BAM are not the same but they are hosted at the same site and developed by the same person/s. This might be a clue if this ends up being a bug in either the Einstein server or at BoincStats.

And changing that setting should've been enough.
As I see it this might be a problem with Einstein not including you in the stats export or BoincStats not picking you up as it should. I think we might need some help from the project admins to determine what the problem could be.

Please don't do that! It's much better to determine whats wrong and correct it, especially if it's a bug in the project server!

Before we seek help from the admins please answer the following questions:
When was the last time you completed work for Einstein@home?
Are you running tasks right now or is Einstein@home set to "No new tasks" or "Suspended"?

Thanks HOLMIS, I will hold

Thanks for your assistance HOLMIS, I will hold off deleting my account for the moment.

The last time I completed work would have been today or yesterday.

I am running tasks, and have been since 2008 without interruption on at least 2 machines simultaneously.

Considering this I strongly suspect that you do indeed have 2 account registered here at Einstein@home.
To check this please check the Eventlog in Boinc after a restart on one of your active hosts, in the startup messages there should be a line similar to this:
27-Jun-2019 01:04:54 [Einstein@Home] URL http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/; Computer ID 11468519; resource share 400
We're after the computer ID in this line, please post either the full line or at least the computer ID.
You could also use this link (to my computer) and replace the numbers at the end with your computer ID:
https://einsteinathome.org/host/11468519
If the account the host is connected to was created in 2012 instead of 2008 then this would confirm that you have 2 accounts.

You could also open Boinc Manager and on the projects tab highlight Einstein@home and then click the Your Account button on the left, in the browser window that opens click on profile in the top menu right below the Account menu option. Then look for "Member since".

BOINC ID: 338908

I just done a search on E@H for myself, and I see what you mean about 2 accounts, I have no idea how that has happened. As far as I was aware I only had one account, and I only have one set of logins. Is it possible to merge these 2 accounts?
