My fellow crunchers, I challenge you as well as myself, to see if we can wrap the S5 WU nothing later than Christmas eve (Dec. 24 2006). Do you think that we can do it and are you all up for the challenge? Help spread the word about einstein@home, and help us all reach that personal set goal.

Happy crunching :)

Regards!

LOL, I don't think that's very likely. I'd be willing to try to increase my "horsepower" level to do more, but the budget is saying; "What!!! Are you on glue?" :-)

Send me tons of money, so I can build a huge farm, then pay my electric bill...

Forward thinking is good, but the amount of influx that would need to happen is probably not going to happen.

If we got all the users from Seti we had during the outage to come back for the duration, it might (but I doubt it) be possible.

Seti Classic Final Total: 11446 WU.

Thanks for your responses,

Thanks for your responses, both those believing and those disbelieving. At todays pace we will only have to increase speed with approximately 50 days, in order to be able to wrap this challenge within christmas eve 2006. Maybe some of you who post at seti could persuate some of their members to help us wrap this challenge, it might also increase the amount of computertime used for einstein at home...

Anyway I still believe we can do it, mostly because we all have to remember, that together we can overcome, and alone we can in fact really do nothing much about anything...

Regards!
